This year marked the 50th Anniversary of the Tamworth Country Music Festival, and two Gemba clients were in the thick of the action!
Toyota have been supporting the week-long celebration of Australian country music for 30 years, and this year was no different. Fans enjoyed some of the best local talent at Toyota Park, watched emerging artists strut their stuff at Toyota Star Maker, and put their feet up at the Toyota Zone. Fans were also able to jump in a Toyota Land Cruiser and capture a virtual selfie with country music icon and Toyota Ambassador, Lee Kernaghan.
As part of Toyota’s activity, the iconic festival hats were once again available, and for the first time were paired with a mix of limited-edition pins that captured the different elements of the festival. The hats and pins could be purchased in exchange for a small donation, with all proceeds going to charity partner, Tamworth Aboriginal Medical Services.
2022 also saw the introduction of McDonald’s as a proud sponsor to the Tamworth Country Music Festival. ‘The Golden Gig – sponsored by Macca’s’ gave junior country music artists the opportunity to display their talent and kick start their musical journey. Gemba created the look and feel of the talent contest, including promotional branding and the surrounding activation area.
McDonald’s also used the festival to showcase their relationships with Australian primary producers and show “Where does my food come from?”. Gemba created a food journey visual which showcased some interesting facts on the journey produce takes from farms to McDonald’s restaurants.
The countdown is already on for next year’s festival!
