Foxtel & Timmy doing it for the kids!

Foxtel wants to do more than entertain a nation; they want to make a positive impact on active and healthy lifestyles of communities around Australia. That’s why they got Gemba involved, to help leverage their ongoing relationship with global football superstar, Tim Cahill. Together we’re inspiring the next generation of Australian footballers to chase their dreams.

Foxtel Tim Cahill Academies are unique skills and drills clinics developed by Tim and his team of world class coaches, delivered as a dynamic 1-hour training sessions to schools around the country.

The program is open to all primary schools, to kids of all ages regardless of football experience and ability. Each session includes movement and coordination drills to improve the child’s ability to run, jump and pass, along with an element of fun competition to encourage communication and teamwork.

The program pilot will first roll out in Victoria, with 3000 kids already signed up to take part in the free program.

Foxtel and Gemba first teamed up in 2013, launching the Academy program with a series of exclusive 2-day coaching clinics and experiences. Since its inception, the grassroots program has reached over 5000 boys and girls across Australia and even led some players directly into professional development programs.
