Australian Sports Commission

As a subscriber the gSER, the Australian Sports Commission provides ‘smaller’ Australian National Sports Organisations access to critical consumer information about their sports.

Through a multitude of projects that gemba has undertaken for smaller Australian sports, gSER has been used to develop a consumer profile of those sports that would have otherwise been cost prohibitive for each individually.

These consumer profile documents provides a detailed picture of those sports that are then used primarily to help direct strategy and commercial outcomes for the sport.

The consumer profiles typically cover such elements as:

  • Passion for that sport benchmarked to other sports
  • Demographic profile of those that are ‘fanatics’, ‘fans’ or ‘participants’ in the sport
  • Media consumption of that sport by medium
  • Image profile of that sport benchmarked to competitive sports
  • Sponsorship profile
